PLAYS

BLOOD PLAY

A big camp epic about the medieval Church’s creation of the blood libel myth in Norwich, smashed against the contemporary wellness/medical world that trades in similar territory. Money, power, and really shitty saints.

My first ‘play-shaped-play’, I started BLOOD PLAY on the Royal Court Introduction to Playwriting Course and continued it on their development programme for Jewish artists.

Selected For and Workshopped at National Playwrights Conference 2024

Shortlisted for the 2023 Women’s Prize for Playwriting.

Semi-Finalist on the 2023 Jewish Playwriting Contest.

SCREEN

In 2021 I was on the first Writers Lab UK and Ireland developing with my Queer Jewish Comedy Drama ‘SLACKS’.

On the cusp of settling down with her perfectly OK boyfriend, a woman plunges into a wild journey of queer family discovery, guided by her 7 year-old gay-as- hell self and her hilarious, furious grandmother.
You can see more about it on Coverfly HERE.

Since then I’ve been shortlisted for the 4Stories ‘On The Edge’ programme and am developing TV projects solo and in collaboration variously about mediums, Blackpool, climate scientists, and arsonists.

I’m passionate about form-busting, funny, emotional, very visual TV which often makes use of a dyke camp aesthetic. My years working collaboratively to create theatre and performance I hope mean I am useful in a writers’ room.
